We sat down with the Grenadier team to learn more about why this matters – and what it means for customers.

Q. Why did Grenadier Packaging acquire MM Leeuwarden?

We saw in Leeuwarden a business that truly reflects our own values. This is a high-quality, well-run operation with strong existing customer relationships and a focus on doing things the right way. Just like Grenadier, the team there takes pride in delivering consistent, reliable packaging solutions for its customers – it really was a perfect fit.

From a strategic perspective, this move represents a measured step for Grenadier beyond the UK that will enable us to better support our customers operating across multiple European markets. It’s about continuity first and foremost: the same people, processes, and standards that our customers rely on, backed by the long-term stability and resources of Grenadier.

Importantly, Leeuwarden will continue to operate as a standalone site. Our approach to growth has always been considered and sustainable, and with six acquisitions successfully completed to date, we have a strong track record of integrating new operations while preserving what makes them successful.

Our aim is not to change what Leeuwarden already does but to strengthen it.
